6th Ave. Garden - watercolor

watercolor, 2015
available, 11"x15"

One of the last pieces I finished last year. I think just about everything went right with this one.

88 Queen St. - watercolor

watercolor, 2015
available, 11"x15"

Another one from this year's trip to Charleston, SC before the flooding in October. I was drawn (no pun intended) by the shadows of the utility lines on the white door.

Window #1 - watercolor

watercolor, 2015
available, 9"x12"

This is a quick little piece that's a little looser than my previous style. Not much else to say about it really.

Available Asheboro - watercolor

watercolor, 2015
available, 11"x15"

Another view from Asheboro, NC. I had just noticed this building and was pulling my camera up to my eye when this man turned the corner. I just waited for him to finish the composition.

Currituck - watercolor

watercolor, 2015
original available, 11"x15" $125

This is from a photo I took a couple weeks ago during our trip back to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the first time in 24 years. We only had one day of good weather, the day I got this shot. So, I'll have to make the most of gray, cloudy reference photos. Overall, I'm happy with the looseness of this piece, though there are a couple things I could've done differently.

Mr. Ed's - watercolor

watercolor, 2014
original available, 11"x14" $200

Loose and sketchy, this one originally was painted as a half-sheet (15"x22"). But I wasn't happy with the upper half. I was much happier with the crop and this should work nicely in an 11"x14" mat.
